During a dental exam, our experienced dentist will:
Prior to the dental exam, our dentist will also ask about any health problems you have or medications you’re taking and discuss how they might affect your oral health. For Example, if you have diabetes, you’re at increased risk of gum disease and vice versa if you suffer from gum disease who this would affect diabetes and increase the risk for cardiovascular diseases. Any medication that contributes to dry mouth can increase your risk of tooth decay and denture stomatitis. If arthritis interferes with your ability to effectively brush your teeth, our dentist may recommend a powered or electric toothbrush.
Dental exams might also include discussions on diet, use of tobacco products and other lifestyle factors that can affect oral health.
Using the latest fully digitalised Xray machines to minimise the radiation dosage, we provide both Extra oral xrays such as OPG, Cephalometric xrays and TMJ xrays for the detection of any bony pathology, impacted wisdom teeth, missing unerupted teeth, joint dysfunction, malocclusion and orthodontic diagnosis. As well as intra oral xrays for the detection of tooth decay, leaky fillings or gum disease.
